"First to Care"

Mission Statement

The mission of Hampton Lakes Emergency Squad is to provide a cost-effective, collaborative, and outcome-based EMS system that employs rapid response of trained professionals to deliver clinically superior and culturally competent care, achieving high levels of patient satisfaction.

Vision Statement

We envision a comprehensive, accessible, and sustainable EMS delivery system, realized through collaboration, which provides clinically superior, efficient, and innovative care.

Core Values

Compassion

Compassion for our patients and their loved ones.

We will provide you and your loved ones with the same level of care, compassion, and respect that we would our own family. Regardless of the reason for our encounter, we will respect your privacy and protect your dignity without judgement or bias.

Advocacy

Advocacy for the our patients and the industry to ensure patients receive prompt, proper, and professional prehospital care.

We are here for you, in good times and bad. We strive to be advocates for our residents and patients not only by doing what is right for you, but also by being your voice to other caregivers and on behalf of the community. We advocate for the improvement and betterment of the EMS system at the local, state, and federal level.

Respect

Respect for our patients, members, and the profession.

Patients and their families deserve the upmost respect. You trust us to help in your darkest hours and we hope to never violate that trust. As an organization, we also strive to provide a positive and productive workplace that fosters positive perception of the Emergency Medical Services System.

Education

Education of the public and our members to provide a resilient and knowledgeable community.

The public plays an important role in the emergency notification system and chain of survival. We believe that a trained and educated public is the first step in improving the health and wellness of the community. We strive to maintain a well trained and educated team of responders with diverse background and experiences to respond to your emergencies while teaching you how to be the "first responder" when emergencies happen to you, a loved one, or a stranger.

EMT Oath

Be it pledged as an Emergency Medical Technician, I will honor the physical and judicial laws of God and man. I will follow that regimen which, according to my ability and judgment, I consider for the benefit of patients and abstain from whatever is deleterious and mischievous, nor shall I suggest any such counsel.

Into whatever homes I enter, I will go into them for the benefit of only the sick and injured, never revealing what I see or hear in the lives of men unless required by law. I shall also share my medical knowledge with those who may benefit from what I have learned.

I will serve unselfishly and continuously in order to help make a better world for all mankind. While I continue to keep this oath unviolated, may it be granted to me to enjoy life, and the practice of the art, respected by all men, in all times. Should I trespass or violate this oath, may the reverse be my lot. So help me God.
